Thursday 28th June 18

Off to the hospital with Gill and saw various people about Gill's aftercare.

Visited Joy briefly afterwards and had to take bike to e-bike shop as arranged but John wasn't there so went back to Joy's.

Then got tickets for Shakespeare, and my tickets for Chepstow, and came back via Sainsburys.

Stacked turf late on.

Wednesday 27th June 18

Off to Valerie for 11 with ground-breaking tool. Found that the 'concrete' under the ground is in fact, clay with limestone rubble. I planted 5 shrubs and added 3 sacks of compost to the soil.

Tuesday 26th June 18

Compost order for Valerie at 3, and a meeting at Two Ridings at 5.30 - I had a quick bath between these two as at 7.15 I was due to be a model at Andreas' art class. I met Kiri at 7 and we cycled up there together. She will hopefully be a model at some time.

Monday 25th June 18

Saw Michael today, he gave me a finder's fee for is gig on Saturday, so I owe him a couple of receipts.  I dealt with the potato plants too, which have grown very well in shallow soil and so I 'earthed them up' hoping they make some spuds. Chatted with Ken about the garage and digging a trench to put the footing of the wall into. Brought compost up the garden for Valerie tomorrow. Went to the chemist for Gill, and delivered a letter for Toby's appointment.

Sunday 24th June 18

I had perhaps foolishly agreed to be at the site of Manor School for 10am to meet up with Michelle and get some photos, so it was an earlier start than I would have liked, but I enjoyed doing the photography.  The site had lots of rubble on it, including some mangled electrical wire and copper pipe, so I rescued quite a lot of this and brought a trailer load home.

But on the way home I popped into Armarna House to see Pauline, who has been going downhill with Parkinson's, however she was pleased to see me and we chatted for quite a while.

Then home for lunch, and I felt pretty wiped out so at 2.30 I went for a nap and slept til nearly 6pm.   then went to do some trench digging in the garden, so Ken can build his wall. I'm not sure how I'll break up the concrete foundation of our garage but maybe a pick axe will do it.

In the evening I started preparing the wire, stripping off the insulation, and winding up the 'dry bright' copper to string onto 'necklaces'.
